The birthday boy

Yesterday we started implementing our helping hands chart.
Chana was our snack helper, she peeled the cucumber
and she was careful with the peeler.

Sometimes the kids got too excited with playing and our floor was
full of bird seed.
Our helpers did a great job cleaning the floor.
Thank you Levi, Devorah and Chana.

We heard that Mayer  is going to have a birthday, we  want to give him a present.
We thought he will like it ....so kids made him a bracelet.

Ido is beading his bracelet.

Devorah, Levi and Dalya were successful too.

We also learned about the pumpkin; it's orange and round but
how does it look inside?
We cut one pumpkin and we were amazed to see it has white seeds.

Mayer and Devorah touched and smelled the seeds.
"it smooth"

We created our own pumpkin book.
We know all the parts of a pumpkin:
Vine, stem, leaf, seeds, pulp, and skin.

But it won't be fun without singing
so we made pumpkin finger puppets.

.

They loved it and danced with their fingers.

We all sang:
"I'm a little pumpkin
Short and round
I grow on a vine
And on the ground"

Today we were excited from 2 reasons :
First shabbat is here and today Mayer is celebrating
his birthday. He is 2.

But first Akiva sang the kiddush.

Mayer is decorating his challah bag.

Dalya is making kiddush and she cut the challah.

Morah Glenda is reading a story for the birthday boy.

Who's the birthday boy, the birthday boy...
Mayer.

Mayer gave coins to his friends so
they could give tzedukah for his birthday.

We made a special crown for Mayer and
a special album from all his friends.

He loved his present.

Ima and family came to his celebration
and he was so happy.

After all that celebration, we had another.
Shabbat party!

Shabbat Shalom to everyone.
