Making Latkes

What is Chanukah without a latkes?!

We love giving children opportunities to participate 

in preparing the special things for the Chag 

so today we made latkes with our friends

in class.

Akiva and Ido peeled the potatos.

Levi and Devorah helped to grate the potatoes.

Mendel added the baking powder.

Mayer, Chana, and Nissan added the 

eggs, flour, oil and salt.

Akiva, Chana and Devorah mixed it toghther.

And fill the muffins tray.

The children wanted to hear more 

of the story of Chanukah.

 We acted out the story and

here the children are playing with dreidels

for when the Yevanim are coming.

Our friends are looking for the small jug 

of oil to light the Menorah. 

We looked everywhere 

and we didn't find any.

Until the children spotted it on the 

window... they were so happy

to find it so they can light the 

Menorah.

We lit the the second candle on the Menorah,

sang Chanukah songs and ate latkes down to the very last crumb!
