Counting Provocation

Starting to count numbers!

The children practiced counting 

numbers in many ways.

We had signs on the containers, the children 

counted the dots on the sign and inserted the

 right amount of Popsicles .

We practiced matching colors and quantities.

Akiva is counting the dots on the

 sign and inserted the same count and 

chose the same color.

In the sensory table we enjoyed

 counting gems by the sign on the cars.

Chana put 3 gems on the tractor 

as showed on the sign.

Ido helped Levi to fill in the container with gems.

Levi said: " I have 10 gems".

The children were excited to play and count the shapes on the light table.

Akiva said: " I made a castle".

Devorah and friends were counting the same shapes like:

1 big squares, 2 long triangle, 3 small triangles and 4 squares.

Mayer said: " I made an airplane".

A friendly act:

Ido  helped Mayer to climb in the play ground.

Akiva found a Frisbee... what a joy.

Dalya took Mendel and Devorah

 to Montreal to Bubby and Zaidy's

 house. She didn't forget to buckle a seat belt.

At circle time we counted the items together,

from a book everyone had a turn. 

We also learned about flower parts.

Everyone got a flower part,

the children matched their part

 to the picture.

Counting is fun, we enjoyed counting with our friends.
