Art In Motion

In the past few days we have been learning about artists.

We learnt about the textures and colors in the pictuers.

We created our own art project inspired by our artists.

"Kadishman" and "Salvador Dali".

We loved to painting our art work  in white. 

Rafi saw the paint driping on his project.

Mendel and Zalman were drawing circles. 

They matched the right colors in their drawing.

 New play dough... 

...And its pink!

Matching with friends.

Having friends from other class  joined our playing time.

Who Is knocking On Our Door?

Shabbat Shalom ..hey,  Shabbat Shalom...hey,

Shabbat... Shabbat... Shalom to you all.

Shabbat is music to our ears., we love Shabbat routine.

We decorated our Challah bag by peeling stickers..

We were very proud ...

Mendel said: " I made it".

Riva pointed on KADISHMAN photo and said "Kadishman!"

Mendel offered  to help Zalman peel the stickers.

Riva read a Shabbat story to her friends on the Morah chair.

Challah time ... Rafi cut the Challah with scissors.

Riva made a sheep.

Time to put it in the oven.

Singing with friends.

Everyone were excited to go on Shabbat train.

Hold tight.

We gave Tzadaka ...

Rafi waited to his turn and said: "My turn".

Then passed the Tzedakah box to Zalman.

Creating Sheep By Menashe Kadishman

We keep on working on their art gallery project.

We chose an Israeli artist by the name Kadishman.

We got  inspired by his artwork : creating sheep.

We practiced a painting method with roller.

Zalman and Rafi were happy to try it and said: "smooth".

Riva decided to paint the picture of a sheep. 

The children were very excited to revile 

some pictures on the board.

We hang up pictures of artwork from our chosen artist.

They all pointed on the sheep ...They really  liked it .

They even named the colors they saw on the sheep.

Paper Mache

The children began to work on their gallery project.

Our class is working on an Israeli 

artist by the name : Kadishman.

The children are experimenting in paper

 mache technique.

Mendel and Rafi cut newspaper into small pieces.

Riva tried to cut with scissors.

Then everyone decided  to try it too.

Now we had to make the sticky paste,

made out of flour,water and glue. 

Rafi and Mendel added the flour.

Riva and Mendel pure it to the paper cuts.

Rafi mixed it to a smooth paste.

 We began  covering our project with a

 second layer of  mache paper.

  

We used tweezers to cover our project.

Shabbat & Tu B'shvat

Shabbat celebration its exciting every time.

Bringing Shabbat into our school.

 Rafi was curious to hear the new name of our school: PJP

Celebrating with cupcakes yum.

Riva came to say hello.

Roll, roll ,roll the dough into a yummy Challah.

Working together to get them into the oven.

Tu B'shvat Seder.

The children were having a Tu B'shvat Seder with friends .

We learnt all about the trees and the "Minim".

We danced and celebrating the birthday of the trees.
