Happy Birthday Dalya and Shabbat!

 We manipulated the dough in many ways...rolling, patting, kneading, pounding, and squeezing.

 Decorating our challah bags. We are getting good and peeling the stickers off; a great fine motor activity thats fun too!

A Sunny summer season!

 The children sorted the wood beads by color and also worked on their fine motor skills by using tongs to transfer them into the muffin tins.

 At circle time we talked about the way we feel outside at this time of year. Our friends pointed out that it is HOT outside, and not cold. We spoke about the Sun that shines in the current season of SUMMER. We looked at the clothing we were wearing and noticed the short sleeves and sandals, and the absence of coats and jackets due to the warm summer weather. 

 We sang a song about the sun and the summer.

Swimming Fish!

 Thank you to the Kavka Family for being Fruit Family this week! We enjoyed the bananas today!

 Expirementing with the concept of 'balancing', the children placed plastic eggs on top of each stick carefully. Some were able to stay on top, but others fell off. We tried putting more than one too, and it was tricky to get it to stay on!

Chana:"Can i have a turn with the measuring cup?" Levi:"In two minutes."

 At Teffilah Circle time the children sang beautifully!

 Devorah does a dance when we sing her name in our song about our friends who came to school today!

Welcome Friends!

What an incredible first day of our Summer Program in the 2's class! The children all came right in and engaged in the new activities.

 Mendel correctly matched the pieces, noticing the shapes and colors in order to match them.

 

 The children decorated a paper with thier names using colorful matchsticks. This will soon go on thier cubbies so they can feel a connection to thier personal space in our classroom. :)
