Shabbat Shalom! I will miss you!!

 Challah!
Chana and Ido build a house for Mr. Potato head.

Silly kids, trying on Mr. Potato head's glasses!
Devorah presses her fingers in the dough and looks at the many prints she made.
We have a HUGE Beit Hamikdash on our classroom wall from all our freinds Mitzvot! When we read Mitzvah notes, we sing about that child's mitzvah and everyone claps thier hands. Its so nice to see how genuinly happy the children are for each other. Above is Levi's face when his Mitzvah note was being read. Not only is it good to to good things, it FEELS good too!!
 Splash that water!

 Shabbat!

A big balloon + A lunch picnic!

 Dalya sorts colors
Akiva creatively finds a different use for the caps.
The children matched the numbers 1-4 and practiced fine motor skills by pinching the clothes pins.
Hazel completed them all and was so proud of her work!
Levi takes a look at our Bet Hamikdash wall. I hear  him talking about the Mitzvot that will build it.

Look at these adorable Mr. Potato head creations!
 Hey there, playground!

Riki is driving to the airport while the others are busy choosing ice cream flavors.
Today we did an experiment using baking soda and vinegar. The chemical reaction creates bubbles and automatically blows up the balloon! It was very exciting to see! Before we did it, the children hypothesized. Akiva said, "It will pop." and Chana said, "It will turn white."

Today we got to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL weather with a lunch picnic!!!! Look at all these happy faces!

We can do Mitzvot!

Today we crumpled up tissue paper and glued it on a flower. They came out so pretty and colorful! Riki put one tissue paper ball into each section of the flower. How clever!

Beading with Large wooden beads. It takes lots of concentration, but its rewarding at the end when we get to wear the necklace until the end of playtime! :)

Everyone loves being the helper to give out the Torahs and collect them. Today was Akiva's turn.

Thanks to the parents that sent Mitzvah notes to help us build a 'Bet Hamikdash' in our classroom! (There are more in your child's backpack)
The children are very excited about it! We also write Mitzvah notes at school whenever a child does something special.

Today Meyer used his words and asked Meir for the truck. Meir said 'in two minutes' and Meyer waited so nicely until it was his turn! ( Yes, that was a tongue twister ;) But it really happened)!)
What beautiful turn taking; We put it on our wall.
We discussed some ideas of Mitzvot we can do. Morah put pictures of some ideas to get us thinking. The children really identified with the Mitzvot displayed. They keep coming up to wall and talking about it.
Choo Choo! Off to swimming we go!
The children LOVE this sprinkler! They came inside after swimming soaking!

Building the Bet Hamikdash one Mitzvah at a time.

The children put colorful  matchsticks into the narrow hole of the straws. It wasn't easy, but with diligence they were able to do it! They loved it! This activity is excellent for building fine motor skills.
Hazel came to school today with her puppy! The children were so excited!

Today we painted with dish brushes! It was lots of fun and made some interesting designs on our papers too!

Ido, Chana, and Levi work on setting the animals up in the zoo.

Thank you to Riki and family for the delicious fruit! The strawberries were super sweet!
Today again we reviewed about the Bet Hamikdash. The children remembered that when we do lots of Mitzvot, we are helping build the Bet Hamikdash in Jerusalem! Some friends brought in Mitzvah notes today so we read them and sang about it! We will be putting the 'bricks' up on our wall to 'build' the Bet Hamikdash with our Mitzvot in a visual way.

 Mini chalk

Today we had a super fun sprinkler!!! It is a BIG beach ball that sprays water! The children squealed with delight as they ran past it!
