Jungle Day

Today we had a variety of Animal Jungle experiences.
The playdough table was set up like a jungle, inviting the children to play and sparking their imagination about jungle animals.

Sender makes balls, to create a fence for his animals.

"I have two rocks," says Chana.
"I also have two rocks", says Mendel.

"Rocks", says Levi.

We added to our Jungle scene by adding grass for the animals to hide in.

What a great jungle the children have created!

Riki helps spray and wipe down the table at clean up.

Swimming!  Levi stops the sprinkler with his hands.

Marnie and Hannah drinking (fresh hose water) from the elephant's nose.

Chana and Dalya pour water on the pavement and watch it trickle down.

Akiva loves the firework effect he creates with his spade and water.

At circle time we go on a trip to the jungle.
We use our body to help us make believe.  We travel on a plane, land in Africa, go on a jeep...

...and look for lions.
We find one hiding in the grass, and throw him cookies, chicken and an apple.
We munch it down with our fierce teeth.
