Little Artists

Today we looked at the art of a child abstract painter, Aelita Andre, who had her first art exhibition at 2 years old!

The children were intrigued and fascinated that a little girl could be an artist.

We took a trip upstairs and looked at a video of her techniques.

The children had a lot to say...

Ella, "She's painting."

Kayle, "She needs to wash her hands."  "I love those colors." "It's on her shirt."

Sender, "She's spilling out that paint."  "It's on his mouth."  "That's a lot of colors."

Mendel,  "She's spilling it."

After snack the children had a go of painting too!

The children were engrossed in the art making process and enjoyed spreading the paint on the large canvas.

It's Snowing!

Today when we looked outside we saw snowflakes falling down.

We went outside to catch some.

We scooped snow off the leaves and caught it with our cups.

And then placed it in our big bucket.

"It's snowing!" says Kayle.

We place the snow in the sensory tub and the children play until they notice cold fingers.

The children spray the snow with water...

Other happenings:

"My baby is sick", says Kayle.

Dr. Marnie checks up on patient Hannah.

Lia builds a snowman out of felt pieces.

"That's Mommy", says Marnie as she builds a magna tile structure.

More snowmen at the playdough table!

Happy Birthday Daniella!

Today we celebrated Daniella's Birthday!  She turned 2!

We sing happy birthday.

Daniella gives her friends Tzedakah.

We dance with Mommy and Aunt Leah.

Daniella gets a special birthday ride!

We give Daniella a birthday present.

Daniella shows us with her fingers how old she is..."two."

At circle time we talk about Sender's new little baby brother.

"This is my new baby," Sender says as he points to the picture of him holding his brother.

"He has a hat."

"My baby is sitting on Lia's stump", Sender says.

We hear a story about a new baby.  Sender says his new baby doesn't cry.

We make a special picture for Sender's Mommy and new baby.

Other happenings: 

Kayle and Ella ride together.

"I made a tower", says Hannah.

Marnie lines the blocks in a row.

Designer Snowman

Today we talked about what we could put on our snowmen...

The children helped me design my snowman, and were then very excited to do their own! 

They came out adorable!

We also painted on ice today!
