Today we went for a walk to look for a caterpillar.
At the end of our walk, we discovered leaves with holes in it.
Maybe caterpillars have been eating these...
And then Morah spotted it! A caterpillar hanging off a leaf!
We asked the caterpillar if it would like to be our pet.
Morah snips the branch it is hanging on, and fills the bottom of the jar with dirt.
Yakir and Sara snip a fresh leaf for the caterpillar to munch on.
At circle time, Morah writes the word caterpillar.
Morah draws a picture of a caterpillar from her phone.
Next, the children draw a caterpillar.
Gabey colors the leaf.
The children watch the caterpillar and see it has climbed up the branch.
Yakir looks through the magnifying glass.
