Friendship Week

This week is friendship week.
We had googly eyes at the playdough table.
Sender says, "I'm making 2 eyes here".

Marnie places many eyes in her dough.

We are drawing a picture for Sender's birthday tomorrow.

Mendel, "I'm doing a lot of glue"

Chana places her picture to dry on the drying table.

Sender, "It's red like this Alef"

Akiva and Netanel play with the hexagons.

Ella helps peel the oranges.

Netanel looks in the mirror at Marnie, " Hello everybody."

Netanel makes a call.

Ella traces out a rectangle.

Marnie and Hannah pull up a chair and join.

Thank you to Mendel and Chana for bringing yummy fruit this week!

Parachute play...

...is always...

...so much fun!

We met a new friend Dina today.
I asked the children what friendly things they can say to her.
We said hello.
Marnie, Chana and Mendel brought a toy to share with Dina.
Ella offers her a lollipop.
Levi says, "Book".  We offer to read a book with Dina.

Mendel helps serve the shakers to his friends for a friendship song!

A New Challah Style

Today we made Challah for Shabbat.
The children are fantastic at rolling the dough.

Today, we introduced a new style of Challah - Flower Challah.  AKA Pull apart Challah.

Hannah is rolling balls for her Challah.

Mendel created many balls and Morah helped put them together to create a flower Challah, which then turned into something else :)

At our Shabbat Party we didn't need a knife, everyone got one ball!

More fun from today:

Hannah and Marnie love Shabbat dramatic play.

Ella, "I'm drawing that for my Mommy".

Chana, "I'm filling it up.  I'm making it too much."

Akiva, "Look what i made!"

Mendel, "I'm hiding them (balls)".

Marnie gives her baby a bath for Shabbat.

Being Moms, with babies and hats.

Hannah is our Torah helper today.  Her job is to give out the Torah's as well as lead the actions for our  Torah song.  Here she has chosen for the Torah to dance on her knees and everyone will copy.  This is great leadership training.

Today we played on the playground.

Shabbat Shalom!

Back to the Moon

Today we made moons out of Sculptey clay for a creation book that we are working on. (Coming next week!)
Hannah hid her moon in the hexagon.

Mendel pushes the pencil in to create crators on his moon.
We talk about how the moon is bumpy.  The children create amazing texture on their moons.

A spiral moon by Sender.

"It's going so high", says Chana.

After finishing their moons, the children went straight to the playdough table to continue with the sensory experience.

Mendel builds a road for his cars.

Akiva builds using various elements.

Today Akiva is the Torah helper.

Swimming fun!

Today we had a yoga session!
The children loved it!
