A Drop Of Paint

We learned about primary colors:

Red, Blue and Yellow. 

We were wondering how other colors are made...

We did an experiment.

We had 6 cups full with water.

Each one added a drop of food color into 3 different cups. 

We put inside the cups a paper towel and waited.

We were so excited to see the paint runs into

 the clear cups of water and created a new color.

We saw how Orange came from Yellow and Red....

Riva and Mendel were building a townhouse

 and in each floor someone else is living:

Riva: " Tatty".

Mendel: " Baby".

Next the Bonfire...

We were covering the potato with aluminum

 foil and put them into the fire to roosted.

We had a great time around the Bonfire.

Heel to Toe

Today we did the second step of our art,

making a bonfire.

Last week we mixed colors to created a flame.

Today we added the wood to the bonfire

 using pieces of construction paper.

We practiced gross motor skills.

balancing on the stumps and...

Walking in a straight line, putting heel to toe in front of the other.

 

We also built  a big bonfire with wood bricks.

We invited friends to sit next to the fire.

What does Shabbat Feel Like?

Shabbat has a wonderful feeling.

But how does it feel?

It feels like laughter as we set the table for Shabbat.

The feeling of working hard to bake Challah.

The fun feeling when we dance with friends 

to the tune of Shabbat songs.

Playing and enjoying together. 

Preparing our Shabbat table for our Shabbat party.

The feeling of giving Tzedakah.

The feeling of happiness ...

So many wonderful feelings in honor of Shabbat.

Where Is The Bonfire ?

An invitation to create a bonfire.

We talked about the colors that we see in a bonfire.

We invited the children to make a bonfire in different ways.

We tore construction paper: 

Yellow, Red and Orange and put in a plastic bag.

We also used plastic wrap to spreed the paint  out on a card stock.

We created a big bonfire to decorated our board. 

We built a bonfire with wood bricks.

We sang and danced around...

And had a " kumzitz" burning Marshmallow and potato.

The children are excited to bring their bicycle to school next week :

Riva: " I have Yellow".

Mendel: " I have Blue".

Rafi: " I have Red".

Zalman: " Yellow".

More fun time outside.

Shapes Hunt

Today we practiced shapes and color sorting.

combine both of them together.

Mendel and Rafi sorting colors using pegs.

 Riva used scissors to cut Blue paper.

At circle we had a color shape hunt.

  

Rafi found Pink triangle.

Then Mendel found Blue square.

Zalman found Green triangle hang  up on the window.

The children were so happy to go on

 a shape hunt and find all the shapes in 

class.

We danced to a shape song while each one had their own shape.

Then we counted them and used our felt hands to show how many we had.

Who Is Rabbi Akiva?

La'g Baomer is near and the children

 painted a bonfire in different ways:

On the easel with paint colors of a fire:

Red,Orange and Yellow.

  

we also used chalk on black board.

Imaginary game...

Zalman pretended to be a Giraffe and

he chased everyone in class. 

Riva stood like a Giraffe.

Rafi stood like an Elephant.

We kept learning all about Rabbi Akiva and the golden rule. 

We saw pictures of Rabbi Akiva when he was a Shepherd,

until he became a well known Rabbi. 

We spoke about ways we can love our friends:

Riva: " Give hug".

Mendel: "Give Kippah".

Today we practiced threading beads through a pipe cleaner.

We used a sample with  a sequence:

 Blue, pink, yellow, green and purple.

 We followed the pattern and threaded one after the other. 

What comes after green?

Mendel: "Purple".

What comes after yellow?

Riva:" Green".

Rafi traced his hand.

We learned about L"G Baomer.

We get to hear about Rabbi Akiva 

and the golden rule.

Riva and Zalman showed us how we can 

love each other.
