Why Matzah Is Flat?

What is  Matzah?

The children were experimenting threading
a wool thread in cardboard rolls.

Zalman was threading from the bottom.

Riva tried from top to bottom and
was careful  to not to tie up the thread.

The thread was long and Rafi pulled it gently.

We practiced the same technique on a special fabric.

We were pretending to make holes in the Matzah.

Today Riva found frogs in our sensory table,
and she counted them while she was adding
 the frogs into the box.

we played with play dough and made a nice Pyramid.

Zalman filled the bowl and turned it over.

Riva flatten the dough and after she  used  triangle as  tool for cutting .

She counted the Pyramids she made.

Rafi loved threading the " Matzah".

Everyone welcomed Mendel this morning.

Outside Riva catched Mendel on the slide.

Hannah: " We are on the ship to Orlando".

Today we learnt about Matzah.
Why its flat?

We sang:

Make a Matzah , flat, flat,flat.
Don't make it fat, fat,fat
Make a Matzah , flat, flat,flat.
Make it just like that.

We showed the process of making Matzah.

We all "baked Matzah "in our own oven that  we made in class.

We asked the children to be careful because it was" hot".

Who is Pharoah?

We used brown and yellow colors
to mach the color of sand.
Rafi helped Mendel paint his box.

Mendel and Riva were excited to
cover the whole box with paint.

Zalman saw a spot he didn't paint.

Riva put hers to dry.

Morning circle  Shhhhh.... everyone is sleeping.

At our morning circle we talked about Spring and it's symbols.

Zalman hung one picture of Spring: " Blue sky and flowers."

Mendel hung a picture of a fox waking up
from his winter nap (hibernation).

And we danced as butterflies.

Today we stared the Pesach story... we used our
craft we made this morning.

We introduced Pharoah and the Jewish people who lived in Egypt.

Mendel thought the Pyramid looks like Hamantaschen :).

We built the pyramid.

Building Pyramids

We used shaved cream and paint to  have fun while using our creativity to make a cover for our Haggadah.

Riva drizzled paint on the shaving cream.

Rafi mixed the colors we drizzled.

Mendel flipped the Haggadah on the paint
to print the pattern.

We also created other pictures through the print making method.

We used roller to spread the paint on the templet.

More fun activities from our day...

Rafi shouted, " Hi everyone!"

Riva and Rafi were taking turns on the slide,
Rafi ask Riva to hold his bottle of water.

Than Riva gave Rafi his bottle back but Rafi
had so much fun he didn't want it back
so Riva chased him on the play ground.

Meeting friends outside.

Riva and Rafi picking flowers.

we continued the Pesach story and we have
the children " working hard building the Pyramids".

We sang new song:

Frog on " Pharoah" nose.

We pretend to be frogs and jumped all around.
