Shabbat is here!

I'm so glad that Shabbat is here!

Lots of social interaction today in our classroom.

 Circle time
Today we did some role playing about sharing and taking turns with our friendly puppet, Avi! The children were very excited about it and were listening closely to the messages being expressed.

With rain in the forecast this morning, we decided to stay safe and went to the playground while it was still dry! We got lots of time to play until it started to rain.

 Helping each other...
 Playing ball together!

Once it started raining we went inside for some ball and Frisbee playing as well as dancing! The children had all sorts of great dance moves and really enjoyed it!

 Our favorite- Shabbat party!

Aleph Bet cookies +A closer look at water play!

Today we used q-tips to paint with many colors.  This activity helps us build our fine motor skills, specifically the 'Pincer Grasp'.

Baking Aleph Bet cookies! We measured each ingredient and our friends carefully helped us pour them into the bowl.
 Mix, mix, mix!

Using Aleph Bet shapes to shape our cookies! Each child found the letter for their name an used it to make their very own personalized cookie!
Here you can get a closer look at our friends enjoying themselves in the pool in this warm weather!

Aleph Bet Letters!

We used the light table with magna tiles and Aleph Bet letters. It was interesting to see how bright the colors look with the light underneath. We also watched how the actual colors of the items kept changing depending on the color of the light! Below is a green light.

Thank you to the Cohen family for the delicious fruits! The plums and apricots are exciting!
The children were very busy with taking care of babies today!
Sponge painting with Aleph Bet sponges.
 Lots of readers!
Helping to peel the clementines for snack.

 LOTS of helpers!

Coloring with Chalk during swim time.

The cold water was a great place to be in this HOT weather!

Today at circle time, we did a special Aleph Bet activity. Each child listened out for the first Hebrew letter of their Jewish name. When we sang their letter,
