All About the Moon

Today at circle time we talked about Day 4 of creation:  Sun, moon and stars.

We know the moon comes out at night, and heard a moon song with moon shakers.

The children shook their shakers to the beat!

Shabbat Party

Today we welcomed Shabbat together.

We lit the candles,

  

Covered our eyes,

And made the Bracha.

"The Shabbat angels are peeking through my window"

Things that grow

Today we used buttons to create a flower!

While enjoying the deliciously sweet and juicy pineapple, we discussed where the pineapple comes from.

"Cosco", says Marnie.  "Mummy and Daddy bought it from Cosco".

We probe a little further and wonder where Cosco got the pineapple from...

We see that pineapples grow from a plant in the ground!

And who makes the pineapple grow?  

Hashem makes pineapples grow. 

Mendel and Chana hold the hose together.

We talk about branches, leaves, bark and roots.

Peek into our Day

Welcome Dalya and Riki! 

Today we did finger painting!

Using hands to create designs, the children relax and enjoy the smooth silky texture.

Dalya used a zig zag pizza cutter to create designs in the playdough.

Riki pressed the back of the scissors in the dough.

Akiva makes breakfast.

Chanah is danced to the music.  

Levi read the schedule on the display board.

Today's Torah helper was Mendel.
