Today's Wonders

Some of today's wonders:
Gabey builds an incredible structure using magnets.

Sara saw that Eden wanted the pink scarf, and gave hers to Eden.  How thoughtful!

Thank you to Sara's family for the delicious oranges.

Every Friday the children enjoy making their own Challah.
They are getting increasingly better at rolling and creating beautiful pieces.

Yakir's Challah.

Peretz made a person.

Nechama Leiba's piece.

Snow Painting

The children help collect fresh snow.

We pour it into the sensory tub.
We fill three containers with colored water.  We chose blue, green and yellow.
The children use droppers to drop the color over the snow.

What beautiful shades of blue snow!

The children bring some fire trucks and cars to drive in the snow.
So much fun!

A go in the Snow

Today we bundled up and went outside for a play in the snow.
"Where is the ground?" asks Nechama Leiba
Nechama Leiba takes a shovel and digs the snow away.  She is looking for the ground.

Inside the classroom, the children have a taste of the snow.
"What does it taste like?" Morah asks
"Nothing" says Peretz

 "I want more," says Chaya
"Cold" says David

Yesterday's Snow

When we took off the lid to our 'snow filled' sensory tub today, we saw this:
"Where's the snow?" asks Chaya
We wonder what happened to the snow.  "I think it melted," says Morah.
The children don't mind, in fact they are quite happy to have water play!

Dot painting!

Today we took out the dot paints!
The children love watching the vibrant color come onto the paper...

Such passionate artists!

Cutting Skills

The children are practicing using scissors on fabric...

and on playdough...

Cutting with scissors requires fine motor skills of hand separation.  Snipping and cutting are the beginning of a fully developed set of scissor skills which develops until the age of 6.
