Circles

Today we talked about circles.

 At snack we noticed the cucumbers were round like wheels.
What shape is the cucumber?
A circle.

We practiced saying 'circle'.

 What shape is the rice cracker?  A square.  David counts four sides.

 At circle time Morah brings a surprise box.
The children each have a turn to choose an object.

  What shape is it?

 A circle!

 Peretz's shows us that his cookie is a circle shape.

 Chayale's lid is a circle shape.

 Nechama Leiba's Plate is also circle shape.

Rainbow Train

The children have been practicing their colors and shapes with our wonderful new rainbow train.

 To extend the activity, we add a variety of colored items to match:

At circle time, the children pick an item and place it on the correct train carriage.

Painting on an Easel

Today the children had a delightful painting experience!

Fun & Trains

Today the children enjoy a train matching activity.  The children use fine motor and matching skills to put a cheerio in each circle.

Challah Baking!

Today we baked a batch of gluten free challot!  Yes, using all 11 ingredients!

The children were enthusiastic helpers:
