Snowflakes

Icy paints were used to paint snowflakes. 

Snow, Snow

While the Yeladim were out on the playground today, small snow flurries began to fall. As the snow fall increased, the Yeladim began noticing the snow falling. 




Peretz: "Snow in your hair."





Back inside, the Yeladim danced with snowflakes

and made their bodies melt.

Another Freezing Experiment

Another experiment was introduced to give the Yeladim more 
opportunities to experience the freezing process. 


The Yeladim chose different items to squeeze or pour into cups
which were placed in the freezer. Tomorrow, the Yeladim will

check what happened. 

The Freezing Process

Last week, the Yeladim poured juice into cups that were put in the freezer. Today, the cups were taken out. Below is the reaction of the Yeladim.



Benjamin tried pouring it out.  

Zalman tried drinking it. 

Peretz looked at his cup and tried taking out the popsicle stick.

Hilary felt the contents of the cup. 

Yakir looked inside the cup.

Teacher:"What happened to the juice?"

The Yeladim continued examining the cups. 

Teacher: "Is there juice in the cups?"

Zalman: "No."

Peretz:"It's ice."

  

The Yeladim enjoyed tasting the ice pops and they
 made that liquids can become ice.

As the Yeladim painted ice...

it melted!

The Yeladim poured juice into cups. Morah Esther put them in the freezer. 

Tomorrow, they will see what happened. 

The Freezing Process

Yesterday, the Yeladim chose placed objects and poured water into muffin pans that were placed outside. Today, when they came to school it was no longer water: it was ice!

The ice was brought over to light table for further investigation.
