Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Rosh Hashanah brought new spirit
into our class.

The children were happy to see their friends.

We started our morning with an invitation
to paint with water colors, in the spirit of Yom Kippur.

Zalman and Riva were excited to use the paint brush.

Rafi was exploring ...

Thank you Rafi for being our fruit family this week,
and helping cut the snack.

The children have started to share with their friends :)

We head the song: "Rain, rain go away..."

Riva and Rafi went to check through the window and say:

"No rain!"

Rafi and Zalman shared the shapes,
for going outside.

Rafi shared the ball with Riva in the playground.

Playing together.

Rosh Hashanh Is Here!

Rosh Hashanah is here!

Through out this week the children were
learning about Rosh Hashanah,
we were waiting, and waiting....
until he came.

Today we also got ready for our first Shabbat
with friends .

Zalman made a Challah with play dough.

Riva and Mendel noticed a peek a boo book.

Rafi built a train with Lego.

Roll the dough for Challah.

We were so excited to see the children collaborated
and were looking for apples in the field.

They filled the container .

Rafi found another peek a boo book.

Riva and Rafi took the babies for a walk.

After we baked the Challah we set the table for Shabbat.

We wish you happy new year.

What Do We Need For Rosh Hashanah?

Rosh Hashana inspired play dough play.

The children played nicely with each other.

Riva and Zalman were happy to help
 prepare the fruit for snack.

After a wonderful playing time, the children
helped cleaning up and put the toys away.

At morning circle we greet everyone saying:
 " Good morning"
Zalman passed the train to Rafi.

We enjoyed playing in the playground ,

Rafi and Zalman were looking at a bee.

We told the children that Rosh Hashanah is coming soon,
We sang new song for the holiday:
"Dip the apple in the honey"

What do we need  to set the table for Rosh Hashanah?

We added all symbols of the holiday:

Candles, Challah, Honey, Shofar .

Zalman was blowing the Shofar.

First Day of School!

Welcome everybody to
our beautiful class.

What a wonderful first day.
The children got to know their new friends...

Remy and Rafi sharing in the kitchen.

Then Zalman joined too.

Mendel was interested in magnatiles.

Riva and Remy helped clean up.

We enjoyed eating snack together.

Having fun in the playground.

Our First Day!

We had a lovely morning getting acquainted with our classroom and friends.

Chana and Meir found their letter to place on their name tag.

Levi sorted the tray of Shofars.  Those with a hole and those without.

Nevin built a big "track".

Levi and Meir prepared food in the kitchen.

Devorah mastered the rubberband game, using her strong fingers to create shapes.

Our sensory tub smelled of cinnamon.
"It's yummy", said Levi.

We used tongs to 'pick the apples'.

Thank you to Levi for being fruit family this week!

Meir helped wash the apples.
We encourage the children to be involved with preparatory activities.  This gives them a sense of responsibility and pride towards the activities they then participate in.

Eating our fruit with a fork.

At circle time we talked about Rosh Hashanah.
We tasted honey...and agreed it tastes sweet like candy.
