Our Families

We have been exploring families as the children have shown a keen interest in the toy family that was taken out last week.

David plays with Daddy and Big sister.

Peretz puts baby in the basket with Daddy.

Yakir has decided Big Sister's name is Ayelet and baby's name is Yakir...obviously ;)

Ella holds Mummy and Big Brother.

To further explore the topic of families, we have created baskets for each family with a photo of each member in it.

Sara lines up her family next to Chaya's family.

She then looks for Nechama Leiba in her family box, lining up all the blocks as she sorts through. 

At circle time we take out each family and name each person and their position in the family.  The children feel so proud when they see their family being spoken about.

Eden, Ella and David admire their family.

We sing 'The wheels on the bus' with our families.

We take out the dads when we sing, "the daddy's on the bus go read, read, read" and do it for mothers, babies etc.

Water Painting

Today we took out the water paints.

The children absolutely loved working with the water colors!

  

A Trip to the Oven

Today we went on an exciting trip to the kitchen to put the Challah in the oven!

Morah Sarah put the tray inside and we said good bye to the Challah's as we closed the door.

Fishing for Bells

This week we had a multi-sensory tub using our hands and our ears!

Filled with rice, the children enjoyed fishing out the bells using magnetic sticks.  

All set up nice n' ready.

Gabey pulls a bell off the magnet noticing the pull.

The children love playing with the cheeky bells as they bounce and dance around the magnetic sticks.

David is fascinated by two magnetic sticks and bells all sticking together. 

Ella feels the rice as it pours from her hands.

Yakir and Peretz use their hands to fill their pots with rice, "ice cream" is what they have made.

Eden surveys the contents of the bin, deciding what she will play with.  

Color My World

Today we looked at the world from a whole new perspective!

All About Me

Today we started a new topic, "All About Me".  We are talking about our precious, beautiful bodies!

Here we sing, "Head Shoulder Knees and Toes" as the children point to the correct body parts.

We also learned this cute poem:

Ten little fingers,

Ten little toes,

Two little ears,

And one little nose.

Two little eyes,

That shine so bright,

And two little lips,

That kiss you goodnight!
