Blossoming Branches

After the Yeladim observed the blossoms on the trees and bushes,
they created their own blossoming branch. They chose the colors of the blossom they saw and scrunched the  tissue papers to glue onto their branch.

Creating with Twigs

Twigs and Styrofoam was set up for the Yeladim to insert and

refine their grasp. 

Benjamin put it on his head and said "I have a crown."

Our Albums

The Yeladim enjoy looking at their personal albums of  school pictures.
The pictures serve as a  catalyst for the Yeladim to remember and talk about their school  experiences.
I love listening to them recount the activities and field trips through their eyes.
Most of all, I love to watch their faces light up with pride when they see themselves. 

Walking to Har Sinai

The Yeladim often retell the story of Pesach as they play.
Today, we talked about what happened after the Jewish people crossed the sea.
They walked to Har Sinai where Hashem gave them the Torah!
They were so excited to receive the Torah they began counting the days

until they reached Har Sinai.


The Yeladim  made footprints as they "walked" to Har Sinai.



The Yeladim each chose a paint color to be painted on their feet

and walked all the way to Har Sinai. 

When they were done, they washed their feet in a bucket of soapy water. 

Spring Provocation

The Yeladim went on a walk around the school property. The purpose of the walk was for the Yeladim to notice signs of Spring in the environment. 

Zalman:(as he pointed) Look at that tree
The Yeladim looked to see where Zalman was pointing.
Hilary: Flowers
Benjamin: There are flowers on that tree
Teacher: You see blossoms on the tree 

The Yeladim continued their walk and noticed yellow blossoms on the bushes. 

Welcome Back!

It's wonderful to be back at school after the Pesach break. The Yeladim have noticeably grown and matured over the last two weeks.

We got right back into the rhythm of our routine. After playtime, the Yeladim enjoyed snack.

At Tefillah Cirlcle, the Torah was opened for the Yeladim to see.



Benjamin felt the soft Torah coat and belt.




The Yeladim looked inside the Torah.
They saw lots of animals and the Beit HaMikdosh.

Outdoors

Zalman: I don't want to go out today, it's too cold. 

Hilary: have jacket

Zalman: I only have a sweater, it's too cold.

Teacher: Let's check what the weather is today. 

Zalman: (once outside) It's hot

The Yeladim enjoyed outdoor play in the beautiful spring weather.
